Any person who has graduated from any recognised and accredited course of study in Sustainable Urban Development in or outside Nigeria may become a full member of the association.

Any person who has graduated from any recognised and accredited course of study in the Built Environment, have at least 3 years post qualification experience in city management.

Any person who is employed in the top administrative position of government ministries (Federal, State & Local), agencies and civil society organizations or individuals holding the top administrative position of a state or federal agency, not in the built environment, shall be considered an affiliate member of the association.

Students in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in the Built Environment sector may become a student member of the Association.

 Any person who has been an active member of the Association for not less than 10 years can become a fellow member.
